Long Live Corruption ,Down with Journalism

Long Live Corruption and Down With Journalism

Few wise words Mr. Ahmed Ragab the legendary sarcastic writer in Al-Akhbar daily newspaper in his daily column wrote from few days ago in a silent comment about the New Law presented by the government to the Parliament about the Publishing and Press freedom in Egypt .

This law if my memory is not mistaken is the same old law that the government wanted to implement in the 1990s , already I remember my grand dad's coming and going from the syndication with books and brochures against the law and explaining its disadvantage, it is the same but it is even worst.

Already the Journalists ' syndication is totally against it , and for that there will be no independent or party newspaper is going to be published on Sunday as I referred in my previous post , which I remind you with it and I call you all to boycott all the national governmental newspapers for a whole week not just a day in solidarity with Journalists

Now according the new publishing press law the following will happen:

  1. Any journalist can be sent to jail for the following charge "Insulting the President of the State or the King or President of a country friend or the head of governmental establishment !!"

  2. Any Journalist can be sent to jail for the following charge " for the investigation of the origins of the wealth of any person !!"

So according to this law which the government made and the NDP majority in the Parliament cheers for , Journalism , the eyes of the public in any respectable country , can't criticise any president for any act and can't search and fight corruption . Already Thank God we got this honourable independent or even party journalism which despite the margin of freedom of in this country , it exposed most if not all the big corruption cases in this country and they are so , and guess what most of them concerning the governmental corruption .

Ironically president Mubarak said from two months only

NO JOURNALIST WILL BE JAILED

Today the head of the Egyptian Parliament Fatahy Sorror said

THE WORDS OF THE PRESIDENT ARE NOT LAW !!

is n't what the head of the Parliament said considered an insult for the president !??????????

Already many things were said against the Journalists and also against the public manners in the Parliament by the NDP respectable members , insults that I believe any Parliament in the respectable civilised World would reject for example

TOZ FI Journalists / Screw the Journalists

and another insult I can't say or write but I will give a hint "Mother ****** Journalist" !!
Well I can understand why the NDP and Government are defending fiercely for the bringing this law to the light . as I said in all the corruption cases in the last 10 years in Egypt were exposed by the newspapers and honourable journalists

I will dedicate this blog from now to cover this crisis

as Ragab said before

" LONG LIVE CORRUPTION AND DOWN WITH THE JOURNALISTS"
